Lompoc (Santa Barbara)

Travel days can be fun too. Even though nothing much happens besides driving, we still find cool places to visit along the way.

Day 19 was a rather relaxed day, after a quick lunch we started the drive to our next location. There was one place we just couldn't pass up, the Hello Kitty Cafe. This little cafe located inside of a mall had all of the Hello Kitty treats you could imagine.

After our daily dose of sugar, we continued the drive to our hotel. We finished off the day with some more sugar (ice cream, obviously), hung out around the hotel and played with our telescope.

Today, on the other hand, was more adventurous with our first endeavor being the Gaviota hot springs. The short semi-treacherous hike lead us to our own little piece of paradise. The springs were bright blue, crystal clear and the perfect temperature to be relaxing and refreshing.

On to the next hike, Nojoqui Falls. The easy walk up led to an amazingly tall waterfall that looked other-worldly. Small streams of water flowed down the large rock which created a very melodic sound. We spent a decent amount of time just sitting, watching and listening.
