I hope you didn't think we would make it a habit of getting up before the sun. We woke up with the sun this time. With plans to see this glorious city in one day we had to get a move on it.
Now we like the Big Bus Tours as much as the next guy (maybe more) so we decided that would be the most efficient way to hit all the must-sees on our list. We made our way down to Fishermans Wharf where the bus tour starts, with a detour for lunch. We stopped in at restaurant that specializes in our FAVE veg....POTATOES. This potato bar called "Hot Spud" hit the spot in a time of need. Ending lunch with a sweet potato brownie.

We ended lunch at the perfect time as the next bus had just arrived, so we hopped on for a windy adventure. The bus hit all the stops, Fishermans Wharf, Lombard Street, The Golden Gate Bridge, and more; including Haight and Ashbury street which was a personal favorite. This was the spot in which the hippies were thriving in the early 60's with a few left over. There were vintage thrift stores a plenty and tie-dye for days. After spending nearly 2 hours there we boarded back on the bus for the next notorious stop, The Golden Gate Bridge.

We are never the type do things in a subtle way, so on this 60 degree day with wind just a-blowing we rode the top of the open bus. We went across the bridge with a good enough amount of speed, we still feel chilly. The view is worth the cold though, the view is always worth it. We saw the bridge front and back then on to Lombard Street.

Lombard Street is just as curvy and steep as they say, in fact the bus couldn't drive it and we didn't want to try either. However we did pop by after the tour to walk a bit of it.

We had dinner at the RainForest Cafe which I have never been to, but was really fun. I can see the tourist charm in it, and can fully support that. Once we had good warm food in our bellies we came home to turn in early, with an early morning tomorrow. Goodnight!
